Rhyming Love Poems

Here's a few rhyming love poems I've written. I usually write free verses and they don't rhyme.

But for this page, I sat down and tried coming up with several rhyming ones.

My focus is on making the last word of each sentence rhymes with the last word of the next line.

I even tried writing limericks. I'm not certain if they turned out well, but they are here for you to enjoy.

While you might get a few laughs out of my attempts, I hope it gives you inspiration enough to try your hand, and have fun at writing some poems that rhyme!

Busy Schedules

You readily let me know when you feel
our date frequency not to your appeal
You seemed frustrated to be seeing me
less than you could ever want it dreamy
For a moment I thought you were unhappy
till I realized you had become broody
Saying little you decided to be quiet
pulling my feelings down to a plummet
Sitting down on my bed pondering hard
my thoughts in conflict and all jarred
Next morn you woke me up with a text
I could sense you were no longer vexed
Gone was the letdown and in with hope
around this issue we would both cope

Undefeated Love

Our love is not a calm sea of serenity
there's struggles and sometimes we're hasty
Inevitably will exist tempestuous moments
where we each exerted our own statements
Yet I know each step of the way is a choice
with respect kindness we shall both rejoice
Out of each dilemma our understanding grows
another part of each other we get to know
Overcoming conflicts and disappointments
casting away dogmatic views and judgments
Reveals a deeper layer of earned affection
our undefeated love always in renewed motion

You gladly extend out your hand,
Into my loving heart you land.
Squeezing with fondness,
Leaving me breathless,
Hand in hand united we stand!

What is this thing called love made of?
What is this soft fuzziness made of?
Romance and feelings
And mutual liking,
I believe that's what love is made of.
